Australian Bidet

About the publication

Australian Bidet began as a specialist bathroom desk: bidet seats for Australian toilets, advice for people with disability, and a plain explanation of hygiene that did not talk down to readers. The old site — remembered in directory listings and in the Wayback Machine as a Waterloo and later Banksmeadow operation — organised itself around five practical rooms: disability, health and hygiene, FAQs, which bidet seat for you, and a virtual first look at the experience.

This rebuilt publication keeps that brief and refuses the catalogue voice. We do not take inventory photos of SKUs. We write reported essays for people standing in a rental bathroom, an NDIS planning meeting, or a plumbing shop with a WaterMark question and a tired back.

What we cover

The six hubs on the topic index are the spine: bidet seats, health and hygiene, accessibility and independence, installation and compliance, buying guides, and everyday use. The complete guide index lists every essay.

How we work

Staff writers check Australian sources first: the WaterMark Certification Scheme, WMTS-051 for bidet douche seats, WELS, state plumbing licences, and NDIS assistive-technology practice. We distinguish what is required by the Plumbing Code of Australia from what a salesperson would like you to believe.

The editorial standards page sets out corrections, medical limits, and how we treat sponsored or guest material. Image sources live on the credits page. Privacy is explained on the privacy policy.

Write, correct, or ask

Pitches go through the write-for-us desk. Readers can send a correction or a question on the contact page. We would rather publish a careful fix than defend a tidy sentence.
